There is not just one type of map, but many. In order to assist our clients and to educate the general public on the diversity of maps available from Cartisan Maps, we’ve created a quick guide to map types. Here, you will learn to distinguish a cartogram from an isometric map, a physical map from a political, and so on. You will also see examples of map projections, such as a Mercator and a Goode’s. In no way is this meant to be a comprehensive collection of custom maps available from our cartographers. With a few quick questions, our Map staff will can determine other types of maps you may be interested in, or determine that you would like us to design a truly original, custom map product.
